Notes: Surveyor, senior partner in J. B. Ferguson & Co. of Hagerstown, MD, active and longtime member of the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal Association. In the 1960s he worked to transform the 184-mile abandoned canal into the current national historic park managed by the National Park Service.
Items collected by Ralph Donnelly about the canal and the association. Series I includes association-related papers, 1954-1994 (correspondence, newsletters, hike and meeting information, etc.).
