Description: Photocopy of a letter.
Summary: Copy of a letter from R. S. B. Harts, Co-Receiver, Chesapeake & Ohio Canal Company, to Arno B. Cammerer, Director, National Park Service, after sale of the canal to the National Park Service. Harts requests that the National Park Service retain the current employees and assume payroll beginning October 1, 1938. The enclosed Statement of Canal Employees gives the following information on current employees: name, classification, age, years of service on canal, and monthly rate of pay.
